Class Descriptions
Classes begin and end with a guided relaxation and incorporate training in yoga asanas (poses), pranayama (a healing yoga breath practice), alignments, personal adjustments, and contemplation to carry the peace you cultivate into the rest of your week.Please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing for ease of movement. All yoga props are provided.
Each class is appropriate for all body types & fitness levels with a maximum of 15 students per class.
Class sizes are limited to ensure personal assistance. Please call ahead to register.
Yoga Etiquette
- Please arrive 10 minutes early so you have time to settle in.
- Please refrain from wearing scented oils or perfumes.
- Kindly turn off all cell phones and beepers.
Svaroopa® Basics Class
This class features the important 15-20 primary spinal opening poses that form the foundations of the Svaroopa® Yoga practice. Designed to introduce you to the core basic poses and principles of Svaroopa® Yoga this class will provide easy directions and explanations and clear demonstrations when needed.Explore Svaroopa® Yoga $72 (October 2, 16, 23, 30, November 6 and 13)
Experience relaxation, rejuvenation and pain relief. Each week we will explore new poses and a new theme giving you a brief introduction of where Svaroopa Yoga can take you.Over the 6 classes we will
- Learn an easy to remember powerful home practice to take home with you
- Open your lower spine: relieve low-back tensions
- Heart openers; target your upper spine, feeling relief through your neck and shoulders
- Find your abdominals in a whole new way
- Bend into backbands in a well-aligned, propped and assisted way
- Stand Tall; learn standing poses and take your yoga into your life
Beginners Class
This class goes beyond the foundational core poses building on these poses and offering more new poses. Classes are taught in 3 themes: Daily Practice Theme, Lower Spinal Release and Upper Spinal Release. The class teaches at an easy pace with plenty of one to one attention.Mixed Level Class
This class offers a full array of poses (128) that are interwoven throughout 12 themes with each theme building on the next. Changing themes provide variety & depth as they simultaneously teach important life skills.Deeper Class
Takes intermediate students to a new level! This class is for experienced Svaroopa students who have been practicing for at least 2 years and have an established home practice. Classes feature less poses with deeper variations and adjustments. Contemplations are offered directly from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras to expand your understanding of yoga & yourselfLiving Yoga Discussion Group
An opportunity to bring your yoga practice off your blankets & into meaningful dialogue.This hour long discussion group will give you the chance to dive deeply into the monthly Svaroopa® Yoga contemplation articles. It will deepen your understanding of yoga's application in your life and help you find your inner answers by exploring yoga's perspectives.
