I have been practicing Svaroopa® Yoga for approximately seven years and have experienced many of its benefits. Some of these include alleviation of anxiety, deep relaxation, methodical release of tightness along the spine-from the tailbone to the cervical vertebrae- allowing for pain relief, improvement of posture, and an overall felling of wellness, openness, and length.

For five years I took a weekly yoga class that was ten minutes from my home. I had a great teacher and got a lot out of it. But from the first Svaroopa® Yoga class with Tish, I knew I had discovered a path to experiencing yoga in a whole new and much deeper way. The beautiful studio, Tish’s compassionate, warm, and accepting approach, and the unique benefits of the Svaroopa style of yoga combine to make this class a deeply enjoyable, healing, and transformative experience. Now I travel one hour each way to attend Tish’s class each week. And it’s worth every minute of driving!

Classes begin and end with a guided relaxation and incorporate training in yoga asanas (poses), pranayama (a healing yoga breath practice), alignments, personal adjustments, and contemplation to carry the peace you cultivate into the rest of your week.

Please wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing for ease of movement. All yoga props are provided.

Yoga Etiquette

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early so you have time to settle in.
  • Please refrain from wearing scented oils or perfumes.
  • Kindly turn off all cell phones and beepers.

Class Description

  • Beginners: This restorative class is suitable for everyone. It is easy paced for those who want to be gentle with themselves as well as anyone who wishes to turn their awareness inward.
  • Continuing: A beginner and intermediate level class that teaches a full array of asanas. Changing themes provide both variety and depth.

Class sizes are limited to ensure personal assistance. Please call ahead to register.

Evening Classes
  • Tuesdays: 7:00 PM -8:30 PM Deeper
  • Thursdays: 7:00 PM -8:30 PM Beginners
  • Wednesdays: 7:00 PM -8:30 PM Continuing

Session Options

Series Pass: An economical way to commit to your weekly yoga practice! A committed practice enhances the benefits and provides greater progress toward the purpose of becoming more fully enlivened.
Please notice: Make–up classes need to be attended during the same series. Please call ahead to reschedule or speak with Tish at the end of class.

Flex Pass: Perfect for people with unpredictable weekly schedules! Please call ahead to ensure space (by 5:00 PM the day of evening classes: the night before a morning class).

Private Yoga and Embodyment® Instruction
Private sessions are available to meet your individual needs for body-mind health. Whether you have a physical condition that requires special attention or you simply prefer one-on-one yoga practice, private sessions may be your best means to improving your overall health and wellness.

Deprogramming & Reprogramming

The student watched as the Master poured the tea, filling the tea bowl past the usual half-way point. The master continued pouring, and pouring, and pouring until the tea rimmed over the edge and spilled across the table. It poured off the edge into the student’s lap, scalding hot! He yelped and leapt up, standing there in total confusion. Then the Master said, “You will have to empty yourself before I can teach you.  If I try to add teachings to your already full mind and heart, it is like trying to pour tea into an already full cup.”
